ANCHORAGE, ALASKA The UTPB women’s basketball team was defeated 71-69 by Alaska-Fairbanks Friday in their first game of the Seawolf Hoops Classic.
Despite holding a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter, the Falcons weren’t able to hold on as the Alaska-Fairbanks offense got going.
The Falcons were held to five points scored in the fourth quarter by the Nanooks.
Alexus Wykoff led the UTPB offense with 20 points scored on 7 of 8 shooting, followed by Avalon Munoz who scored 12.
UTPB will conclude its appearance in the Seawolf Hoops Classic against Alaska-Anchorage at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
