In 29 games in the first half of the Texas League season, the Midland RockHounds were undefeated when holding a lead after eight innings.

That impressive streak came to an end in the opener of the second half with a 4-3 loss to the Frisco RoughRiders on Tuesday night at Security Bank Ballpark.

Eli White then drove in Richie Martin in the bottom of the eighth on a grounder to shortstop to put Midland back on top, 3-2.

Frisco (25-46) tied up the game on an RBI single by Hood. The run that ended up sealing the victory for the RoughRiders was scored on a wild pitch.
