NORTH AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE: Jackalopes will sweep in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA. The Odessa Jackalopes capped their rodeo road trip with a pair of 2-1 victories against the Shreveport Mudbugs on Friday and Saturday.

The Jackalopes (17-16-0-1, 35 points) earned a shootout win on Friday, with goaltender Gergely Orosz making a career-high 44 saves.

Saturday, Ryan Kelly netted the game-winner with 52 seconds remaining to play to cap a third-period comeback at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum.

Michael Kadlecik had tied the game just 3:42 into the final period after the Mudbugs’ Niklas Miller put his team in front at the 13:09 mark of the second period.

The Jackalopes return home Friday to begin a two-game series against the New Mexico Ice Wolves.

Both games will begin at 7:15 p.m. at the Ector County Coliseum.
