NORTH RICHLAND HILLS The Lone Star Brahmas edged out the Odessa Jackalopes 3-1 Friday night during Game 1 of the North American Hockey League playoffs at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
Odessa scored with 16 minutes in the first period on a goal from Matt Brown, which came off an assist by Blake Bride.
In the second period, the Brahmas tied the game on a goal by Jakub Sirota. They later scored two more goals in the third period to seal the win.
The Jackalopes return home April 20 for Game 3 against the Brahmas at 7:11 p.m.
