MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: RockHounds fall to Missions in series finale

The Midland RockHounds had a tough ending to the final game of the first home series of the season, falling 9-2 to the San Antonio Missions Sunday at Momentum Bank Ballpark.

Midland (6-6 overall) had won the first four games of the series before falling in the final two.

San Antonio (6-6) broke the game open with a six-run sixth inning as Midland could not recover despite finishing with 10 hits.

Midland went 3-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 10 runners on base in the loss.

Nick Allen led the way for the RockHounds finishing with three hits and a run scored. Jose Azocar and CJ Abrams had two hits each for the Missions.
