COLLEGE STATION Crane wrapped up a strong run at the Texas State 7-on-7 Division IIIChampionships Friday at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.

The Golden Cranes advanced all the way to the championship game, where they fell 27-19 to the Poth Pirates.

In other first-round games, Wink lost 28-19 to El Maton Tidehave, while Van Horn was edged 24-18 by Flatonia.
