All scholar athletes were selected by school officials from each home campus for the Scholar Athlete special section of the Odessa American. Each school was asked to nominate one senior boy and one senior girl for the section. Officials from Seminole, Kermit and Midland Lee were contacted for the section, but either did not submit a nomination or did not have a senior to nominate.
