HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Permian remains perfect

After three games at the Colleyville Heritage tournament Saturday, the Permian Lady Panthers keep rolling along.

Permian defeated Euless Trinity and Northwest by the scores of 13-0 and 11-0, respectively. In their final game, the Lady Panthers beat Richland, 2-1.

Against Trinity, Permian (19-0) had eight hits. Rylee Day went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. Hunter Harkrider finished 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

Pitchers Alexis Morales and Mariah Rey combined for a four-hitter with five strikeouts.

The Lady Panthers had 17 hits in their win over Northwest. Five players had a multi-hit game. Brianna Dominguez finished 4 for 5 with a double and three RBIs.

Harkrider went 3 for 4 with an RBI, while Day, Monique Pando and Aliyah Lara each finished 2 for 3.

Rey struck out four batters in six innings pitched.

In the final game against Richland, Morales threw a complete-game four-hitter with six strikeouts. At the plate, she went 1 for 2 with a double.

Permian hosts Wolfforth Frenship at 7 p.m. Tuesday to resume District 2-6A play.
