Pecos-Barstow-Toyah Independent School District has hired Chris Jones as its next head football coach and athletic director.
The hire was confirmed by Pecos superintendent Jim Haley Thursday night after the district’s board meeting.
Jones comes to Pecos from Giddings, where he led the Buffaloes to a 51-28 in seven seasons in charge. He led Giddings to five playoff appearances in that span.
Jones replaces Chris Henson, who led the Eagles for 12 seasons. Henson is now Pecos High School’s principal.
