The Odessa High Bronchos will play Keller Timber Creek in a Class 6A regional quarterfinal playoff series at McMurry University’s Walt Driggers Field in Abilene.
Game 1 is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday with Game 2 at 7 p.m. Friday. Game 3, if necessary, will start at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Odessa High (26-10) advanced by defeating Abilene High in three games in the area round. The Bronchos, the fourth seed and sole remaining team from District 2-6A, won the first and third games by identical 7-3 scores, overcoming an 11-5 loss in Game 2.
Timber Creek (27-9) swept El Paso Coronado in the area round, winning 8-7 and 3-0. The Falcons earned the No. 2 seed out of District 3-6A, beating Abilene High in a seeding game after tying the Eagles for second place.
The series winner will meet the winner between Southlake Carroll and Trophy Club Nelson in the regional semifinals.
