GIRLS SOCCER: Permian starts season 2-1 after three games at Richland tournament

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS The Permian girls soccer team opened its season by winning two of its first three games as a part of the Richland tournament.

On Thursday, the Lady Panthers defeated Fort Worth Boswell 4-0 with two goals apiece from Kayla Brito and Maxi Armendariz, with assists coming from Natalie Terry and Tobi McCoy. Jenafur Warren kept the clean sheet in goal with six saves.

Permian dropped its second game of the year Friday morning against Keller Central 1-0 after the Lady Panthers allowed a penalty-kick goal in the 55th minute — but Permian bounced back to defeat Cedar Hill 5-0.

Permian concludes its run in the tournament today.
