AMARILLO The Odessa High girls soccer team clinched a playoff berth Saturday with a 2-1 win over Amarillo Tascosa in District 2-6A action at Dick Bivins Stadium.
Alondra Venegas scored both of the Lady Bronchos’ goals. Assists on those tallies came from Jamie Natividad and Yareli Barrera. Catalina Ulate played the entire game in goal with four saves. Midland High also clinched a playoff berth with Odessa High’s victory.
The Lady Bronchos (14-6-0 overall, 4-2-1-0 district, 14 points) are in third place in the district standings, one point behind the Lady Bulldogs.
Odessa High returns to action Tuesday against Midland Lee at Grande Communications Stadium.
