BOYS SOCCER: Permian allows late goal to fall to Abilene Cooper

The Permian boys soccer team fell to Abilene Cooper 2-1 Tuesday night after giving up the game’s final goal with less than 30 seconds to go at Shotwell Stadium.

The game was scoreless heading into the second half. Permian broke the deadlock with 30 minutes to go in the game with an Irving Martinez goal assisted by Isaac Herrera.

Abilene Cooper scored both of its goals in the final eight minutes of the game for the come-from-behind victory. Permian’s Carson Roberts played the entire game in net.

The Panthers fall to 5-4-1 with the loss.
