BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Permian looks to clinch district title

The Permian boys basketball team will play for its second straight district title when it faces Amarillo Tascosa at 7:30 tonight in Amarillo.
The Panthers (22-7 overall, 7-2 district) are tied with the Rebels (20-8, 7-2) in the District 2-6A standings.
The winner will win clinch the outright title and the district’s No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
Permian defeated Midland Lee 75-38 while Tascosa won a crucial road game 57-47 over Midland High to set up the clash.
The Rebels defeated Permian 56-52 back on Jan. 25.
