BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Panthers, Bronchos renew rivalry

The second half of district play gets underway in the renewal of the crosstown rivalry as the Odessa High boys basketball team hosts Permian at 7:30 tonight at the Odessa High Fieldhouse.
Permian (18-7 overall, 3-2 district) currently sits in a three-way tie with Midland High and Wolfforth Frenship for second place in District 2-6A, while Odessa High (8-20, 0-5) is looking for their first district win of the season.
The Panthers suffered a 56-52 loss to Amarillo Tascosa Friday night while the Bronchos struggled in an 83-44 loss to Midland Lee.
During the first matchup on Jan. 15, the Panthers got off to a quick start and ran past the Bronchos for a 60-45 win.
