HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Permian defeats San Angelo Central in five set thriller

SAN ANGELO The Permian volleyball went the distance in a 24-26, 25-18, 26-28, 27-25, 15-6 victory against San Angelo Central in District 2-6A play Tuesday.

Jade Workman led the Lady Panthers with 17 kills, with Nyxalee Munoz adding 15 and Sarahi Orona 12 in the victory.

Emily Short had five blocks.

Denali Cardenas finished with 26 assists to lead Permian, with Workman chipping in 22.

Anyssa Cruz led the Lady Panthers defensive with 29 digs, one of four players with more the 20 digs in the match.
