HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Odessa High advances to Bronze Division final at Nita Vannoy Touranment

The Odessa High volleyball team won a pair of matches in the Bronze Division Saturday at the Nita Vannoy Tournament at Lincoln Middle School.

The Lady Bronchos defeated Fort Stockton 25-14, 25-19, in the first match and knocked off Del Rio, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21 to advance to the final to face Alpine at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Clarissa Rodriguez led the way for Odessa High with 23 kills over the two matches while Clarissa De Leon and Zoelley Herrera had 23 and 20 assists, respectively, in the two matches.

Odessa High (5-9 overall) went 1-2 in pool play Friday, falling to San Angelo Central JV and Cedar Hill in its first two matches before defeating Sweetwater to close out the day.
