MIDLAND The Permian softball team wrapped up its season with a 4-1 loss to Midland Lee on Friday at Gene Smith Field.
The Lady Panthers (11-11 overall, 2-10 District 2-6A) were held scoreless until the top of the fifth inning, when Nyssa Dunn scored after Tiggy Rayos reached on an error. With the win, Midland Lee (11-13-1, 1-11) avoided a winless record in district play.
Emma Chavez pitched five innings for the Lady Panthers, recording five strikeouts. Maci Johnson went 3 for 3 at bat for the Lady Rebels with two RBIs.
