KEYS TO VICTORY

>> RUN JMV: The Bronchos’ offensive trio of senior quarterback Jaylien Jones, senior running back Mark Marichalar and sophomore running back Jorge Valdez have collectively run for 1,085 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns this season, good for an average of 5.51 yards per carry. The Rebels give up an average of 161 yards per game on the ground, so the Bronchos’ should be able to run wild on Friday, which should open-up the passing game.

>> MAKE QUICK, ACCURATE DECISIONS: The Rebels pressure the opposing offenses relentlessly this season, as their defense has forced eight fumbles, 13 interceptions and sacked quarterbacks 14 times. Jones has thrown interceptions in back-to-back games, so he has to not force throws nor hold on to the football too long for the Bronchos’ offense succeeding tonight.

>> FINISH SEASON STRONG: The Bronchos started this season with a 3-2 record, but have since dropped four straight district games all teams with winning records. Odessa High has another tough match for their regular season finale, so an upset with the team’s first road win to end the year would be bliss for the Bronchos.
