Odessa High has a chance to clinch a playoff spot when it hosts crosstown-rival Permian in District 2-6A play at 4:30 p.m. at Pressly Field.

The Bronchos (21-6 overall, 7-4 in district) are tied with Midland Lee for second in the standings behind Wolfforth Frenship, with four games remaining to play in the regular season.

Permian (17-12, 4-7) is in fourth place, one game in front of both Midland High and Amarillo Tascosa.

The is the first of two times the Bronchos and Panthers will meet this week, traveling to Permian for a 4:30 p.m. game Friday at McCanlies Field.
