GRAND PRAIRIE The Permian girls golf team finished out its season by finishing in a tie for seventh place as play concluded at the Region I-6A Tournament Tuesday at Tangle Ridge Golf Club.
The Lady Panthers (349-370—719) were led by Angela Aguirre (86-90—176) and Isabella Segura (88-91—179) and finished tied with District 2-6A competitor Midland Lee (350-369—719) as Sarah Reed (81-77—158) led the Lady Rebels.
San Angelo Central’s Ryann Honea (75-74—149) earned one of three individual qualifying spots to the Class 6A State Tournament May 10 and 11 at Legacy Hills Golf Club in Georgetown.
Coppell (301-305—606) won the regional title over Southlake Carroll (304-310—614) and Carrollton Hebron (300-316—616) to advance to the state tournament.
