COMMERCE The UTPB women’s basketball team closed out its season Saturday with a 64-61 road win over Texas A&M-Commerce in Lone Star Conference action.

Despite trailing by six points at halftime, the Falcons (8-20 overall, 6-14 LSC) outscored the Lions by nine points in the second half.

UTPB’s Sierra LaGrande finished her collegiate career with a game-high 19 points with each of her six field goals coming from 3-point range. Artaejah Gay led Commerce with 18 points.

The Falcons eight-win mark under first-year head coach Rae Booth is the program’s best since the 2014-15 season.
