Odessa College announced Thursday that former UTEP assistant coach Kris Baumann has been hired as the Wranglers’ men’s basketball coach.
Baumann replaces Tra Arnold, who left for an assistant coaching position at Iona College.
Prior to working at UTEP, Baumann was the head coach at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens and led the Cardinal to three consecutive national tournament appearances (2014-2016).
He also has coached at Lamar Community College (2001-04) and Garden City Community College (2006-2012), compiling a career record of 280-146.
