Megan Ashton and Pemron Burrows are UTPB’s Lone Star Conference Female and Male Scholar-Athletes the conference announced Tuesday.
Ashton, a four-year player for the volleyball team, finished with 4.0 grade-point average. She had 771 digs as a defensive specialist for the Falcons.
Ashton was the school’s 2019-20 Student-Athlete of the Year, along with being a 2019 Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team selection and CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.
Burrows was a three-years starter for the baseball teams, finishing with a 3.3 GPA.
He tallied 73 runs scored, 10 doubles, six triples, two home runs and 38 stolen bases and was a selection to the 2021 all-conference defensive team.
