LUBBOCK The Odessa College softball team is heading to the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Championship game after the Lady Wranglers defeated Howard College 3-1 Saturday at Lubbock Christian University’s PlainsCapital Park.
Aydenne Brown entered the seventh inning with a no-hitter and allowed one hit in the victory for the Wranglers.
Brown also got some early run support from her teammates as Odessa College jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings. Alyssa Deanda had two hits for the Wranglers while Illy Cisneros added an RBI double.
Odessa College is scheduled to play in the title game at 3 p.m. Sunday against either Howard College or the winner of Western Texas College and Clarendon College. That matchup was slated to take place late Saturday night.
