COLLEGE GOLF: Wranglers in second heading to final round at nationals

LUBBOCK The Odessa College golf team finished at 4-under-par 284 in the third round of the NJCAA Men’s Division I National Championships at The Rawls Course Wednesday in Lubbock.

The effort moved the Wranglers into solo second (283-293-284—860), with Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College leading at 848 (280-280-288).

Midland College is third at 866 (283-294-289).

Will Adams led Odessa College with a 3-under 69, moving into fourth in the individual race.

Jose Dibildox sits tied for fifth after a 1-under 71, while Marcelo Garza’s 2-under 70 moved him into a tie for 12th.

JT Pittman led Midland College with a 3-under 69 and sits tied with Dibildox in fifth. Fellow Chaparral Samuel McKenzie is tied for eighth, with Bladen Samaniego tied for 12th.
