COLLEGE GOLF: Wranglers hold steady in second place at NJCAA National Championship

The Odessa College golf team is now in second place by itself after completing the second round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tuesday at The Rawls Course.

The Wranglers (283-293—576) are one shot ahead of third-place Midland College (283-294—577) after inclement weather pushed back the tee times. Hutchinson Community College shot a team total of 280 for the second straight day to extend its lead.

Jose Dibildox (69-73—142) is tied for fifth with Carter Goodwin of Wallace State Community College and is the leading Wrangler. Will Adams (66-77—143) is tied for seventh overall.

Marcelo Garza shot an even-par 72 for the low round of the day for Odessa College and is tied for 26th (75-72—147). Sangha Park shot 73 for the second straight day while Jaden Chavez rounded out the Wranglers with a second-round 75 for a two-day total of 158.

Harry Crockett (69-68—137) of Hutchinson Community College finished with the low round of the day and leads by one shot over teammate Ben Partridge (67-71—138).
