Odessa Jacklopes president Kevin Leisgang tendered his resignation over the weekend as he has accepted a job near his hometown in Wisconsin.

Leisgang, who had been with the organization for 11 years, will be working for a team in the Wisconsin State Baseball League, which features top college and former college athletes.

"It's just an opportunity to go back closer to home and the kids can hang out with the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins," Leisgang said. "They are excited about being in the snow and it's two blocks from Lambeau Field and 10 minutes from my parent's house."

Leisgang is the second member of the Jackalopes front office to resign in the past two weeks, following former coach Greg Gatto's decision to step down at the end of the recently completed season.
