The Andrews girls golf team is now officially in the record books.

The Lady Mustangs (319-330—649) won their ninth consecutive state golf title Tuesday at Plum Creek Golf Club, finishing 29 shots ahead of runner-up Lampasas (340-338—678).

The victory breaks the record of most state titles in a row previously held by Booker, which won eight straight from 1986 to 1993 in Class 1A (now 2A).

Senior Skylar Strube was the top Lady Mustang of the tournament, shooting rounds of 78 and 75 for a 153 total and a fifth-place finish.

Paige Jennings shot 79 Tuesday followed by an 86 from Brynlee Dyas and rounds of 90 from both Jordyn Hall and Alyssa Gerhardt.

Monahans moved up a spot from Monday and finished in sixth place after shooting a team total of 345.

The Lady Loboes were led by senior Ozlyan Juarez, who followed up an opening 78 with a 73 Tuesday to finish in third place overall.

Carrollton Ranchview’s Bohyun Park followed Monday’s blistering opening round of 62 with a 64 to take the individual title. Tristan Gabbard (74-76—150) of Rosenberg Fulshear was the runner-up.
