>> Notes: Since dropping its season opener, Hereford has won its last four games by outscoring its opponents, 144-24. This week should be yet another shootout for Andrews.

>> Records: Seminole 3-2; Levelland 3-2

>> Last Week: Seminole defeated Denver City, 33-7; Levelland defeated Bushland, 30-17

>> Notes: The teams haven’t met since Oct. 9, 2015. Seminole has played competitively in its last three games. If the Indians can come out firing on offense behind QB Jordan Matthews and RB Noah Mata then they should come out on top.

>> Records: Fort Stockton 5-0, 1-0; Snyder 3-1, 0-0

>> Last Week: Fort Stockton defeated Pecos, 31-18; Snyder did not play

>> Notes: Fort Stockton is one of the most underrated teams in Class 4A. This is just another roadblock for the Panthers as they try to win a District 2-4A title.

 

GREENWOOD RANGERS AT LAMESA TORNADOES

>> Records: Greenwood 3-2, 1-0; Lamesa 1-4, 0-1

>> Last Week: Greenwood defeated Sweetwater, 65-20; Monahans defeated Lamesa, 48-41

>> Last Season: Greenwood 43, Lamesa 20

>> Notes: The Rangers have been riding lots of momentum behind RB Trey Cross. This could be a blowout win for Greenwood.

 

MONAHANS LOBOES AT PECOS EAGLES

>> Records: Monahans 3-2, 1-0; Pecos 1-4, 0-1

>> Last Week: Monahans defeated Lamesa, 48-41; Fort Stockton defeated Pecos, 31-18

>> Radio: FM-98.3 (Pecos); AM-1400 (Monahans)

>> Last Season: Monahans 28, Pecos 21

>> Notes: This has been a long-standing rivalry since both teams first met in 1931. Monahans has won its last 13 meetings against the Eagles. Pecos will have to execute to near perfection if it wants to defeat the Loboes for the first time since 2001.  

 

MCCAMEY BADGERS AT ALPINE FIGHTIN’ BUCKS

>> Records: McCamey 3-2; Alpine 2-3

>> Last Week: McCamey defeated Eldorado, 26-24; Alpine defeated Kermit, 15-6

>> Radio: AM-1240 (Alpine)

>> Notes: This will be the first meeting between the teams since Sept. 4, 2009. Visiting teams always seem to struggle in Alpine. The Fightin’ Bucks finally finished strong last week, but they have another test against McCamey RB Gunner Adams and company.

 

OZONA LIONS AT CRANE GOLDEN CRANES

>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 p.m. tonight, El Ave Stadium

>> Records: Ozona 1-3; Crane 3-2

>> Last Week: Ozona defeated Junction, 41-6; Crane defeated Stanton, 59-13

>> Last Season: Crane 27, Ozona 26

>> Notes: The Golden Cranes are riding a nice three-game winning streak. Crane’s offense is gaining confidence with QB Brandon Cerna at the helm. If Crane can come out executing well then it should win.

 

VAN HORN EAGLES AT JAL (N.M.) PANTHERS

>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 tonight, Panther Stadium

>> Records: Van Horn 2-3; Jal (N.M) 1-4

>> Last Week: Seagraves defeated Van Horn, 28-0; Estancia (N.M) defeated Jal (N.M), 28-12

>> Notes: Van Horn is traveling to Southeastern New Mexico for the first time since Sept. 12, 2014. The Eagles will have to overcome some adversity if they want to win.

 

WINK WILDCATS AT FORSAN BUFFALOES

>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 tonight, Buffalo Stadium

>> Records: Wink 4-1; Forsan 0-5

>> Last Week: Wink defeated New Home, 55-6; Reagan County defeated Forsan, 28-27

>> Last Season: Wink 47, Forsan 31

>> Notes: This is the second week in a row where the Wildcats face a winless program. The Wildcats might have too much offensive firepower for Forsan.

 

WINTERS BLIZZARDS at IRAAN BRAVES

>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 tonight, Brave Stadium

>> Records: Winters 5-0; Iraan 5-0

>> Last Week: Winters defeated Christoval, 40-14; Iraan defeated Coahoma, 25-20

>> Notes: Winters has outscored its competition, 192-34. This should be an entertaining battle. Simply put, the team that makes the least amount of mistakes wins.

 

BUENA VISTA LONGHORNS AT MARFA SHORTHORNS

>> Time, Date, Place: 6:30 tonight, Martin Field

>> Records: Buena Vista 1-4; Marfa 0-4

>> Last Week: Klondike defeated Buena Vista, 28-26; El Paso Faith Christian defeated Marfa, 38-18

>> Last Season: Buena Vista 84, Marfa 44

>> Notes: Buena Vista has been struggling lately. This could be a confidence booster for its offense.

 

GRANDFALLS-ROYALTY COWBOYS AT FORT DAVIS INDIANS

>> Time, Date, Place: 6:30 tonight, Bart Coan Field

>> Records: Grandfalls-Royalty 3-2; Fort Davis 2-2

>> Last Week: Balmorhea defeated Grandfalls-Royalty, 66-20; Nueces Canyon defeated Fort Davis, 66-16

>> Last Season: Grandfalls-Royalty 51, Fort Davis 4

>> Notes: Fort Davis has lots of heart, but it will need to execute to perfection to take down the Cowboys.

 

RANKIN RED DEVILS at STERLING CITY EAGLES

>> Time, Date, Place: 7:30 tonight, Eagle Stadium

>> Records: Rankin 4-1; Sterling City 5-0

>> Last Week: Garden City defeated Rankin, 54-8; Sterling City defeated Bronte, 50-0

>> Radio: Red Devil Radio (Rankin)

>> Notes: After facing the second-best team in Division I, Rankin will have another test in No. 8 Sterling City. The Red Devils have to regroup and put together a solid night of execution to get a possible upset.

 

BALMORHEA BEARS AT EL PASO FAITH CHRISTIAN LIONS

>> Time, Date, Place: 7 tonight, Faith Christian Academy Field

>> Records: Balmorhea 3-2; El Paso Faith Christian 1-2

>> Last Week: Balmorhea defeated Grandfalls-Royalty, 66-20; El Paso Faith Christian defeated Marfa, 38-18

>> Last Season: Balmorhea 64, El Paso Faith Christian 6

>> Notes: This will be the seventh meeting between both teams since 2006. Balmorhea has dominated the last five games in the series. The Lions will need to be solid on defense if they want to take down the Bears for the first time since Sept. 1, 2006.

 

WEST TEXAS HOMESCHOOL OILERS AT SANDERSON EAGLES

>> Records: West Texas Homeschool 0-5; Sanderson 3-0

>> Notes: Unfortunately, it’ll be the same story, same tune this week for the Oilers. Sanderson should win big.
