SHREVEPORT The Odessa Jackalopes won their second consecutive game, beating the Shreveport Mudbugs 2-1 Friday night at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum.

The Jackalopes (17-23-1) got off to a fast start, scoring two goals in the first period with Joseph Winkelmann opening up the scoring just two minutes into the game before Jan Blasko doubled the lead with five minutes left in the period.

Warren Natyshak got Shreveport (21-17-2) on the board with his goal just two minutes into the second period but the Jackalopes held on for the win.

The Mudbugs outshot Odessa 39-30.
