COLLEGE BASEBALL: UTPB comes back to get doubleheader split

The UTPB baseball team earned a split of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville Sunday at Roden Field.

The visiting Javelinas earned a 11-0 victory in the first game, only to watch the host Falcons come back with an 14-8 victory in the second contest.

Skyler Palermo was 6 for 7 with two runs scored and two RBIs in the doubleheader for UTPB (13-22 overall, 4-7 in conference). Andres Romero was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBIs in the second game, with Tyler Vlasek adding a 1-for-3 performance with three RBIs in the victory.

Austin De Leon led Texas A&M-Kingsville, going 3 for 6 with two home runs and seven RBIs on the afternoon.
