Sockers FC opens the Lone Star Conference playoffs today as it hosts Dallas City FC at 7:30 p.m. at Grande Communications Stadium.

The Sockers (9-1-2, 29 points) enter the postseason as the top overall seed after clinching the regular-season title last week.

Dallas City FC (6-4-2, 20) earned four points over its final two matches to earn the No. 4 seed and face Sockers FC for the third time.

Dallas City FC and Sockers FC finished in a 2-2 draw on May 24 and the Sockers won 3-0 in the second meeting back on June 1.
