The Odessa High baseball team will play El Paso Montwood in a Class 6A regional quarterfinal series Friday and Saturday at Fort Stockton High School.

Game 1 is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday with Game 2 at 11 a.m. Saturday. Game 3, if necessary, would follow.

Both the Bronchos (21-11-1) and Rams (22-17) qualified for the playoffs after finishing fourth in their respective districts, but swept district champions in bi-district. In last week’s area round, Odessa High came back to beat San Angelo Central twice on Saturday to advance, while Montwood defeated Hurst Bell in three games after winning the opener in 11 innings.

The winner of the series advances to the regional semifinals to take on the winner of the series between Flower Mound Marcus and defending state champion Southlake Carroll.
