SHREVEPORT, LA The Shreveport Mudbugs avenged their loss on Friday night to the Odessa Jackalopes by posting a 2-1 win in North American Hockey League action Saturday night at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum.

Playing in their second game of the weekend series, the Jackalopes (17-24-1) fell behind in the first period when a goal by Shreveport’s Jay Feiwell gave the Mudbugs (22-17-2) a 1-0 lead 13 minutes into the game.

Shreveport doubled the lead 11 minutes into the second period when Jack Jaurich scored to double the Mudbugs’ lead.

Odessa managed to get on the board just four minutes later when Jan Blasko scored but the Jackalopes couldn’t get another goal for the rest of the night.
