The Odessa College Theatre department has scheduled scholarship auditions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the Globe Theatre at Odessa College, 2308 Shakespeare Road. To audition, prepare two contrasting monologues. Singers can substitute a 16-bar musical selection for one of the monologues, and can sing a cappella or with a recorded track. Camp Fire West Texas has scheduled a Summer Day Camp for children ages 5-12 from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 28 through Aug. 9 at Buice Elementary School, 1800 E. 87th St. Activities include arts and crafts, games, sports, field trips and more. Children must bring a sacked lunch daily. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Weekly tuition is $75 per child. Financial assistance is available based on family size and income levels. The Ellen Noël Art Museum, 4909 E. University Blvd., has scheduled the exhibition “Here We Stand: Charles Edward Williams” through May 26. Creating compelling imagery in oils, video/film and sound installations, Williams’ work investigates current, historical cultural events related to racism, and to suggestive stereotypes formed within individuals. His works define self-representation of human emotive responses that lie within cultural identity and reveal tension to expose the complexities within our sociopolitical environments.
