Tonight’s Black Gold Bash features established country crooners and an after party with an up and comer.

Wade Bowen headlines with Stoney LaRue while Adam Wakefield from The Voice will perform the after party during the benefit event.

The event is part of the Oilfield Helping Hands, which provides assistance to families in financial crisis due to medical and other serious circumstances. They have awarded more than $4.7 million since the group formed in 2003.

The Black Gold Bash is scheduled 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. today at the La Hacienda Event Center, 12600 Highway 191. This is the first year for the event and organizers say the event provides, along with great music, a chance to network with industry colleagues and to do it while supporting a great cause.

Bowen, in press materials, recently announced that his acclaimed 2018 release “Solid Ground” will be available on vinyl for the first time ever with the addition of a new, previously unreleased track “Yours Alone.”

Upon its release, Rolling Stone called Solid Ground “...a love letter to his home state of Texas and his most musically ambitious set of songs in a career that stretches back two decades.” Sounds Like Nashville called it, “A versatile album that blends many sonic flavors and influences seamlessly, Bowen’s Solid Ground continues to enhance the singer’s lengthy catalog all while paying tribute to his deep Texas roots.”

Bowen’s single “Fell In Love On Whiskey” is currently No. 1 on the CDX Radio Chart and No. 5 on The Texas Regional Radio chart.

“This song has always been on the back burner for me waiting for an album,” Bowen said on his website. “I’ve loved this song since Sean McConnell and I wrote it. It was a tad too happy for the record for the original release but I feel it was maybe the best song on the album. Sometimes we have to cut our favorites to make the album make sense. I’m glad this song is finally being heard by the world. Love the lyrics and maybe my favorite melody I’ve ever had the pleasure writing.”
