NUGGETS: Faith For Trials

Faith for Trials

We are in troubled times and seems to be mounting, we need to know that with true faith, we can overcome any trial that comes into our lives. When we listen to the news, we know there are many possibilities in our future that are not our choices. If we are Christians, we also know the only true help we have is through faith in Jesus Christ. Prayer changes things !
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”[James 1:2-3]. Now that doesn’t say if you fall into trials, it says WHEN. So we know trials are coming. Somehow I know if you are reading this, you know about trials. Now why would God tell us to count it all joy? “The joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold”[Nehe. 8:10]. Joy gives us a strength that very few other things do. Just think when people feel sorry for themselves, depressed and sad; they have very little fight in them to overcome. That’s why it says count it ALL joy. Everything that does not go according to what we had planned or had hoped for, Joy will help us to get up and take charge of the situation

“Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” Faith has to know, or it isn’t faith. If we know that we are allowed to have trials for our own strengthening, we will be able to give thanks in all things. Now it doesn’t say give thanks for all things, but in all things.  We know when we pray, sometimes we have to wait for the answer.  Faith is like a spiritual mussel, it has to operate against resistance in order to be strengthened. Trials are that resistance, as well as not getting everything we want in an instant; it is also, having to keep the faith as we wait. Then we see that Faith produces. “A man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law”[Rom. 3:28[. So Faith brings Justification, setting us apart from the world. Not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus did.
Faith</strong>; obeys the word. We seek what the word says in order to have the truth to agree with.  “If any two agree as touching anything on earth it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven” [Matt 18:19]. Jesus works with us confirming the word with signs following [Mark 16:20].

Faith</strong>;  proves itself by manifestations of its works. “It is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen”[Heb.11:1]. If we can see it we don’t need faith for it. Faith has substance; it is the form to hold our hope until it is manifest just like the form that holds wet concrete until it takes its solid form.

Faith</strong>;  controls the tongue. James tells us that all kinds of animals can be tamed, but no man can tame the tongue. So true, just try to tame your tongue on a constant basis. Faith in God’s ability is the only thing that can tame the tongue on a regular basis.

Faith</strong>;  produces.  It produces hopes, dreams, healings, finances, freedom, joy and eternal salvation, among many other things.

Faith;  endures. There would be many more nervous breakdowns if it were not for faith in Jesus Christ. He is our hope formed by Faith that keeps us in peace in the days of adversity. We have faith that He keeps us in times of trouble!

Faith</strong>; Again it is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.[Heb.11:1]. Jesus has paid the price for everything we need, including “Faith for Trials.”
