NUGGETS: God’s word helps us call in victory

By Jannie Linney

If we as Christians believe the Bible is the word of God, and we do, and we believe it is true, and we do, and we believe the scripture, John 3:16, “For God so Loves the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life,” and we do! If that one verse is valuable enough for us to trust our whole eternity on, just look at how dependable the entire Bible would amount to, if we trust and believe it as much as we do John 3:16.

It is written, “Confession is made into salvation.” That is talking about saying we have received Jesus as Lord and Savior publicly. What we say is extremely important. Jesus had walked with His disciples by a fig tree that had no fruit, He cursed the fig tree and said it would not ever bear fruit. The next morning the tree was dead. The disciples were amazed, and Jesus said “Have faith in God. For, assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatsoever he says. Therefore I say to you whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” [Mark 11:23-24]. Now why don’t we believe that like we believe John 3:16?

Number one He said, “have faith in God.” The Greek indicates, have the God kind of faith.

Number two, says whoever “says” so, we have to speak to our mountain. We feel strange, even foolish, speaking to our mountain of sickness, cancer, flu, COVID, finances, car motor, whatever mountain that stops us. “Be removed and cast into the sea, in Jesus Name, Amen.”

Number three: “and does not doubt in his heart,” now that’s the biggie! We have to get our heart into it like we do when we want a new car, new truck, a new house. Want it with our whole heart.

Number four: “but believe that those things that he says will come to pass” Wait!, Wait!, Will, come to pass! Now Jannie, that’s carrying it a little too far! Hey, I didn’t say it, Jesus said it. He went on to say, “If he believes it in your heart, what he says will come to pass.

Number five: “He will have whatever he says.” There is one more thing that could stop our receiving from God. “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you your trespasses.” [V.25-26]. Wow!

We see that we call in what happens in our life. We don’t build a doctrine on one scripture. We have many more references than we can share in this writing. We will give some. The base things of the world and the things which are despised, God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,” [ 1 Cor.28].

“God who gives life to the dead and calls those things , which do not exist as though they did” [ Rom.4:17B]. We can take what God gives us that is his supernatural and bring to nothing things that are, like cancer, COVID, evil government. Then speak things that are not as though they are. Such as healing divine health. Using the five-fold method He taught us in Mark 11:23-26. Then to add one more treasure, Jesus Himself said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; [John 14:12].

There is more, read it. God gave us ability for Victory; let’s call it in!
