MOSC names Belles, BeauxAnnual Ball scheduled for Feb. 9 at the Odessa Country Club

Beautiful dresses and fancy tuxedoes will be in full view during this year’s Odessa Symphony Guild Belles and Beaux during the Annual Ball scheduled at 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Odessa Country Club.
The Belles and Beaux include:
Keatyn Eric Armstrong, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Armstrong. He is the grandson of the late Retha K. Armstrong, the late Terry Wayne Armstrong, Charles Louis Coon, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Huckabay. Keatyn attends Permian High School, where he is a member of the National Honor Society, Texas Scholars and a member of the Permian Varsity Football and Baseball Team. Keatyn is a member of Crossroads Fellowship. Keatyn plans to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in physical therapy.
Stockton Anna Ashley, 18, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Connell Ashley. She is the granddaughter of Dr. LuAnna Moore Stephens, the late Mr. Jack E. Stephens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Connell Ashley. Stockton is a “Lifer” at Trinity School where she is a senior and three-year member of the Varsity Volleyball Team, 2018 Varsity Team Captain and was voted Defensive Player of the Year. During high school, she was a member of the Midland Festival Ballet Company and as a sophomore, played Varsity basketball at Trinity. Stockton was a member of the 2018 Trinity School Homecoming Court, active in Students in Philanthropy, a three-year representative for Model Organization of American States (MOAS) in Washington D.C., participated in Junior Leadership Odessa, involved in Independent Schools of the Southwest (ISAS) Arts Festival, a Crystal Ball Princess, and involved in both the Midland Symphony Guild and the Odessa Symphony Guild as a Belle. Stockton is a member of the First Presbyterian Church Odessa where she has volunteered for Vacation Bible School. She is a ten- year camper at Camp Mystic and enjoyed her time serving as a Camp Mystic Aide in 2018. Stockton enjoys volunteering at the West Texas Food Bank, the Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center, Food to Kids, and assisting with Backpack Buddies at her church. Stockton plans to attend to TCU, majoring in Strategic Communications.
Robert Newton Bland V, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Bland IV. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harger, the late Mr. Robert N. Bland III and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Notley. Robert attends Permian High School, where he is a member of the Permian Golf Team, Kantorei Choir, National Honor Society, and Texas Scholars. He was a 2016 Crystal Ball Page and is a member of Crossroads Fellowship. Robert Plans on attending Texas A&M in the fall, majoring in Bio Medical Sciences.
Madison Marie Butler, 17, is the daughter of Ms. Heather Butler, and Mr. Chad Butler. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Darleen Cuellar, the late Mr. Ollie Atkins and Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Butler. Madison attends Permian High School, where she is a member of Permian Theater; Graphic Design; Texas Scholar; Permian Choir; Odessa College Dual Credit 14 credits; City of Odessa Lifeguard; 4- year Odessa Symphony Guild Belle; Crystal Ball Princess and a member of Crossroads Fellowship. Madison is a 5-year Level 4 Senior Competitive Cheerleader and a Former Permian Cheerleader, Freshman and Junior Year. She plans to attend Texas State, majoring in Biology with focus on Physician’s Assistant.
Haley Ana Carrasco, 18, is the daughter of Dr. Manuel C. and Mrs. Hollie A. Carrasco. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Gary L. and Mrs. Pamela A. Nading, Mr. Carlos M. Carrasco and the late Mrs. Mary Dulces Chavez Carrasco. Haley attends Permian High School, where she is a member of the Permian Academic Hall of Fame, #8 in Class of 2019, 2018-2019 President of National Honor Society, Texas Scholar, Odessa College President’s Honor Roll (via Dual Credit), National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Member, National Academy of Future Physicians of America Member, Business Professionals of America (BPA), Every Nation Short Term Missionary, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), 3:23 Club/ Permian Volleyball. Haley plans to attend Baylor University with an Academic Scholarship, majoring in Pre-Med Track, Biochemistry Major.
Rylee Hope Garner, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Richard Garner. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Garner and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Smith. Rylee attends Permian High School, where she was a member of Freshman Cheer, Panther Paws, and a 3-year member of Kantorei Choir. She is a member of National Honor Society, Senate, Students in Philanthropy and an AP World History Scholar. Rylee is in the Top 2% of her class, a member of the Academic Hall of Fame and a Texas Tech Presidential Scholarship Participant. Rylee plans to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in Pre-med.
Garrett Foster Hankins, 17, is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Grayson Hankins. He is the grandson of The Honorable and Mrs. Rodney Satterwhite and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hankins and the Late Mrs. Pat Hankins. Garrett attends Permian High School, where he is a member of the Varsity Permian High School Football Team, First Baptist Youth Group and Leadership Team, Business Professionals of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes’, Permian High School Senate, National Honor Society and Odessa Symphony Guild Beau. Garrett is a Texas Scholar Volunteer for the Permian Basin Food Bank and a member of ASPCA. Garrett plans to attend Texas A&M, majoring in Business.
Grant Latham Hankins, 17, is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Grayson Hankins. He is the grandson of The Honorable and Mrs. Rodney Satterwhite and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hankins and the Late Mrs. Pat Hankins. Grant attends Permian High School, where he is a member of the Varsity Permian High School Football Team, First Baptist Youth Group and Leadership Team, Business Professionals of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes’, Permian High School Senate, National Honor Society and Odessa Symphony Guild Beau. Grant is a Texas Scholar Volunteer for the Permian Basin Food Bank and a member of ASPCA. Grant plans to attend Texas A&M, majoring in Business.
Grace Kathleen Henry, 18, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jim Henry. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie Henry and Mr. & Mrs. Keith Sewell. Grace attends Permian High School, where she is a proud member of the Black Magic Show Choir. She is a member of the Kantorei Varsity Choir, as well as serving as a choir officer for 2 years and has been a member of the All Region choir for 4 years in a row. Grace has been member of Junior and Senior Boards and is an active member of Student Senate. She was elected the Vice President of the Latin Club 2 years in a row, as well as placing in the Texas State Junior Classical League Area and State competitions for the past 3 years. Grace was chosen to participate in the Ellen Noel Art Museum- Teen Art Residency Program for the past 5 years. She is a member of Texas Scholars, completing over 65 hours of community service for the First Methodist Children’s Clothes Closet, and she also teaches Sunday School. Grace plans to attend West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas, majoring in Music Education.
Colton Dwight Higgins, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Higgins. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Higgins, Mr. Daniel Lam and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Minor. Colton attends Permian High School, where he is currently ranked #2 in his class. He is a 4-year member of the Permian Varsity Golf Team. Colton is also an AP Scholar, and will graduate with his Associates Degree in General Studies from Odessa College in early May. Colton is also a member of National Honor Society, Texas Scholars, 4- yr member of Odessa Symphony Guild, and was a Page for Crystal Ball. Colton has also managed to run his own Pet Sitting Business for the past 6 years and has grown the business to over 75 customers. Colton plans to attend TCU or Texas A&M, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Allison Paige Howell, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Howell. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Roy Howell and Mr. & Mrs. Ron Adams. Allison attends Midland Christian, where she is a member of the Midland Christian Track Team, Student Council, Yearbook staff, National Honor Society, Midland College Dean’s List and was a Crystal Ball Princess. Allison is a Texas Scholar Volunteer and is a member of Crossroads Church Student Ministry. She plans to attend Baylor University, majoring in Dentistry/Biology.
Natalie Rene Olson, 17, is the daughter of Ms. Karen Olson & Mr. Ronnie Bethel. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gwen Guidry & the late Mr. Vaughn I. Guidry and Ms. Jeanne Bethe & Mr. Howard R. Bethel, Jr. Natalie attends Permian High School, where she is a 4-year Varsity member of the Permian marching band where she plays the flute, a member of the Permian Jazz Band where she plays the alto saxophone and a member of Texas Scholars. She’s is also an active ballroom dancing student. Natalie plans to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in Kinesiology & Pre-Veterinary Medicine before transferring to the University of Florida to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine specializing in Aquatic Animal Medicine.
Kathleen Suzanne Seaton, 17, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Brad Ward. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Dickerson, Mr. James B. Ward, and Ms. Debra Ward. Kathleen attends Permian High School, where she is a member of National Honor Society, the First 4- year letterman of the Varsity Panther Paw Dance Team, Current Captain of the Panther Paw Dance Team, Leader in Pulse Ministry, Sophomore & Junior board Member, active in Students in Philanthropy and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Kathleen is a member of the 2018 Permian Homecoming Court, was a Crystal Ball Princess and is in Top 5% in Permian’s Graduating Class. She plans to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in Kinesiology & Sports Management.
Kennedy Donn Taylor, 17, is the daughter of Dr. Tracy and Mr. Stephen Canter. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Derrell Hollis of Rising Star, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. James Brunson, Odessa, Texas, Ms. Julie Canter, Jacksonville, Texas and the late Stephen Canter. Kennedy attends Permian High School, where she is a MOJO Varsity Majorette Captain on the Majorette Varsity Line and in band for 4 years-participated and received UIL Division I at Regional Twirling Competitions and qualified for State UIL Competition all four years. She is Vice President on the board for Permian Production all four years and participated in One Act Play for UIL, President on the board for the KC Theatre Group, at the Permian Playhouse. Kennedy studied abroad in Erding, Germany, participated in AP and Dual College Credit courses and was a Crystal Ball Princess. She plans to attend University of North Texas-Denton, or Bard College in Berlin, Germany, majoring in Theatre.
Sydney Daniella Velasquez, 18, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin and Lisset Velasquez. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Ruben Velasquez and the late Mrs. Dorothy Velasquez and Mr. & Mrs. Reynaldo Valenzuela. Sydney attends Odessa High School, where she is ranked #3 in the 2019 Odessa High Senior Class, a member of the International Baccalaureate Program, 4- year member of the Broncho Band in Front Ensemble and Drum Line, Parliamentarian of the Odessa High Chapter of the National Honors Society and a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar. Sydney was a Crystal Ball Princes and a Participant in the Junior Leadership program of Odessa. She plans to attend Trinity University, majoring in Environmental Engineering.
Macey Faye Ward, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Ward. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grady and the late Ms. Mary Elizabeth Ward. She attends Permian High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, 4-year member of Permian Cheer -3 years on Varsity, member of Texas Scholars and a 3-year member of Odessa Extreme All Stars. She plans to attend Texas State, majoring in Pre-Med.
