The Odessa Music Study Club, part of the National and Texas Federation of Music Clubs, met May 14 hosted by Laverne Love and Emilio Mutis. Sophie Edwards led the members in the Federation Collect, the Federation Hymn and the song of the month, “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,” accompanied by Love on the piano. Christian Love, the 2018-2019 scholarship winner, performed “Zueignung” by Strauss, “Bella Siccome” by Donizetti, “The Lord’s Prayer,” and an original composition of his, “A Mother’s Love.” Great Mexican food was enjoyed by all.
