Flowing gowns and tuxedos will usher in the presentation of this year’s Odessa Symphony Guild Belles and Beaux at the Annual Ball scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Odessa Country Club.

The young men and women are honored for their volunteer efforts for the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale. Many have volunteered for years.

>>Claire Michele Adams, 18, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Adams. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Stair, Mrs. Sadie Adams and the late Mr. Bob Adams. Claire attends Permian High School, where she is on the Executive Senate as Treasurer a two year varsity cheerleader, ranked top 10% of her class, a member of Texas Scholars, National Honor Society, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior Board, First Baptist youth, 2017 Kiki’s Photographer senior model, Odessa Symphony Guild and 2015 Crystal Ball Princess. She plans to attend Abilene Christian University majoring in Psychology.

>>Juliet Adrianna Arellano, 17, is the daughter of Mr. Johnny Arellano and Mrs. Dee Anna Arellano. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Arellano Sr., Mr. Ruben Velasquez and the late Mrs. Dorothy Velasquez. Juliet attends Permian High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Texas Scholars, Culinary Arts and an AP Honor student. She is also a CCD assistant teacher at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Juliet plans to attend the University of San Antonio or Texas State University, majoring in Engineering Physics.

>>Abigail Carrasco, 17, is the daughter of Ms. Melissa Carrasco and Mr. Danny Moralez. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Reyes, Mr. Victor Reyes and Mr. & Mrs. Augustin Moralez. She attends Permian High School where she is a 3 year varsity member of Panther Paws serving as Senior Lieutenant, an 8 year member of Tammie Locklar Dance Studio – Main Attraction dance team, member of the First Baptist Church Pulse student ministries, enrolled in AP/dual credit classes, member of Permian student Senate and serves on the Executive Board. Member of National Honor Society and serving as secretary, Texas scholars, Crystal Ball Princess, 3 year Symphony Guild Belle and recently crowned Permian High School’s 2017 Homecoming Queen. She plans to attend Texas Tech University majoring in nursing.

>>Brinlee Samantha Dunn, 18, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Tony Dunn. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sam and Patti Ares, Mrs. June Dunn and the late Mr. Dave Dunn. Brinlee attends Permian High School where she is a 3 year varsity cheerleader and cheer captain, member of National Honor Society, top 2% of her class, a Crystal Ball Princess, 4 year member of Odessa Symphony Guild and member of the Crossroads Student Ministry team. Brinlee plans to attend Texas Christian University majoring in Business with Finance/Accounting Emphasis.

>>Sydney Elizabeth Gore, 17, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mark Damon Gore. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Jackson Stewart and Mr. & Mrs. John Hilton Gore and Great Grandmother – Mrs. R.L. Emfinger. Sydney attends Permian High School where she is ranked in the top 5% of her class, Student Senate President, MOJO mascot, First Priority leader, Business Professionals of America State Qualifier, four year Medical Center Health System Junior Volunteer, Senior Board member, National Honor Society member, First Baptist Church youth group, KidzArt teacher, Crystal Ball Princess, A member of Congressman Mike Conaway’s Congressional Youth Advisory council for the 11th District of Texas, member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor society and she will graduate with over 40 college credits. Sydney plans to attend Texas Tech University majoring in Marketing with a minor in public relations.

>>Peyton Riley Hutson, 17, is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John Hutson. The grandson of Ms. Danielle Woodall, Mr. Ray Woodall, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Hutson, Mr. & Mrs. Roger Sellers. Peyton attends Permian High School where he is Parliamentarian of the Student Senate and has been on the Executive Board for two years. He is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as Vice President. A member of the varsity baseball team and 2nd team All-District pitcher as well as a member of the All-Academic Arizona baseball team, a member of Crossroads Student ministries along as small group leader. Peyton plans to attend Midland college where he will play baseball and major in Biology, and later attend Chiropractic school.

>>Allison Isabella Kirk, 17, is the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. J.W. Kirk. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harold and Judy Cosper Kirk, the late Mrs. Lynda Sue Beeman Kirk, Mr. Hershel Qualls and the late Mrs. Shirley Davis Qualls. Allison attends Permian High School where she is a 3 year member of the varsity basketball team, 2 year varsity track team, a member of the National Honor Society, Texas Scholars, a Crystal Ball Princess and active in her youth group and praise team at Odessa Bible Church. Allison plans to attend Midland College/University of North Texas fast track to the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, majoring on Doctor of Osteopathy.

>>Kristin Nicole Morton, 18, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Morton, Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Opal Morton, the late Mr. Richard Morton, Mrs. Clara Owens and Mr. Malcolm K. Owens. Kristin attends Permian High School where she is ranked No. 1 in her class. She is a National Merit Hispanic Scholar, AP Scholar, President of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of Students in Philanthropy and Business Professionals of America State Qualifier. Kristin is a member of Senior Board, Student Senate, Congressional Youth Advisory Council for the 11th District of Texas, has received the Odessa Music Teachers Association Piano Festival Superior rating for 12 years, graduate of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership Program where she received the award for “Most likely to succeed”, 3 year varsity tennis, Texas Scholars, Crystal Ball Foundation volunteer, and Crossroads Fellowship youth worship leader.

>>Brooklyn Paige Patterson, 17, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William Patterson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Baer and Mr. & Mrs. Bill Patterson. Brooklyn attends Permian High School, where she is a 3 year varsity member of the Panther Paws dance team serving as Senior Lieutenant, National Honor Society currently ranked #19 in her class and will graduate with over 50 college credits. student Senate, Crystal Ball Princess, Crossroads Fellowship youth leadership team, and is the current reigning Miss Permian Basin Teen. Brooklyn plans to attend Texas Christian University, majoring in Finance.

>>Lauren Elizabeth Simmons, 17, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Greg Simmons. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Lacy and Mr. Mr. & Mrs. Harmon Simmons. Lauren attends Permian High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Texas Scholars, Secretary of the Senate Executive Board, 3 year member of the varsity soccer team, Kantorei varsity choir serving as Vice President of Choir Officers, member of Black Magic, Crystal Ball Princess, First Baptist church youth group and active in working in the children’s KidzArt program. Lauren plans to attend Baylor University, majoring in Nursing.

>>Kailey Dawn Tate, 17, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James Greer and the late Kevin Tate. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bryan McHan, Mr. & Mrs. John Tate, Mr. & Mrs. John Beall and Mr. & Mrs. Bob Greer. Kailey attends Permian High School, where she is a member of Texas Scholars. Kailey is a coach at Millers Gymnastics Academy, Crystal Ball Princess, is involved in Crossroads Student Ministries and is the reigning Miss Permian Basin Fair. Kailey plans to attend Texas Tech University, majoring in Education specializing in Special Needs.
