Seemingly always on tour, former Poison lead singer Bret Michaels is everywhere. And he will be at Midland’s La Hacienda April 20.

Michaels has a website (bretmichaels.com) that more or less showcases a crazy busy schedule for the singer.

He tours, raises money for charity, has his own merchandise shop, and, even a fun little spot on the website (click bandana man) for a look at The Adventures of Bandana Man.

The Bandana Man raises money for everything from diabetes to heart disease to bullying.

The site encourages users to make their own adventures and face life’s challenges head on.

Michaels’ site also shows how much time he spends raising money for young fans with life-threatening illnesses and for the Bret Michaels Life Rocks Foundation, which helps a variety of causes raise funds.

His solo tour will be at the La Hacienda but he is also on a tour with the band that made him famous, Poison. The “Nothing But a Good Time” tour is isn’t limited to just the U.S. with stops in Canada as well.

Michaels was recently featured in Parade magazine where he talked about his success and how he helped to sell 35 million records worldwide while also becoming a TV star by winning Celebrity “Apprentice 3” and also with VH1’s “Rock of Love” and “Rock of Love Bus.” He also has a line of custom guitars and a partnership with PetSmart for his Pets Rock Collection.

Michaels has also raised millions for charity. Michaels told Parade that he has enjoyed the tour with Poison. “We’re having a blast. We love and respect each other and it’s great. But I’m playing my solo dates too. These are the most important things in my professional life. I feel blessed doing what I dreamed about as a kid. This is the business I chose so I don’t complain.”

The 54-year-old musician has charted 10 singles in the Top 40. During the 1980s and 90s the band Poison was one of the biggest bands in the world.
