How low will the GOP go? This week, a couple really bad things hit the news.
1) Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona tweets his fantasy video of him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
2) GOP representatives who voted for the infrastructure bill are also receiving threats. Enough is enough! I call upon Sen. John Cornyn, Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. August Pfluger to publicly denounce these actions. Silence is consent; silence enables. Mr. Gosar should be expelled from the House and those issuing the threats should be prosecuted.
One of these days, this foolishness will progress from words to action. If we do not attempt to recover civility by basing our words and actions in truth, we will have no one to blame but ourselves for the fall of our country. The GOP cannot continue to allow Donald Trump’s lies to dominate the party. We need a GOP, but not the GOP of today.
