The Permian girls soccer team began its 2021 season Tuesday with an emphatic victory, defeating Abilene Cooper 5-0 at Ratliff Stadium.

Jaden Sosa led the way for the Lady Panthers with two goals. Daniela Ibarra, Nyxalee Munoz and Charli Luera also scored for Permian.

Permian continues its opening homestand with a match against Lubbock High at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Ratliff Stadium.
