A 15-year-old Honduran girl died as a result of a four-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in southeast Odessa, an Odessa Police Department press release detailed.

The fatal crash was reported to have happened at 4:46 p.m. Thursday in the 14000 block of W. Highway 80, the release stated.

Besi Liseh Ortez Pena, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been notified, the release detailed.

The four vehicles were all traveling west in the 14000 block of West Highway 80.

Maria Renteria, 40, was in a white Nissan Armada; Raul Martinez, 57, and Rodolfo Jimenez, 52, were in a blue Ford F-150 behind the Armada; Lou Ellen Brady, 44, Larry Bradley, 52, and Jeramey Bradley, 22, were in a blue Chevrolet Silverado behind the F-150; and Ortez Pena was driving a black Nissan Xterra behind the Silverado.

Ortez Pena reportedly failed to control speed and collided with the Silverado, which caused a chain reaction, the release stated. The Silverado collided with the F-150 and the F-150 collided with the Armada.

There were no other injuries reported and the investigation continues.
