A 17-year-old was killed as a result of a two-vehicle collision in West Odessa.

The collision happened at 1:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 64th Street and Moss Avenue, a Department of Public Safety release stated.

Gabriel Briseno-Campa, 18, of Chihuahua, Mexico, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado with passenger Diego Garibay, 20, of Odessa. The Silverado was traveling west on 64th Street.

Marla Isaias-Chavez, 17, of Odessa was operating a 2018 Dodge Charger with passenger Jovan Flores, 16, of Odessa. The Charger was traveling south on Moss Avenue.

The Silverado reportedly disregarded the stop sign at the intersection at 64th Street and Moss Avenue and collided with the Charger. Isaias-Chavez was pronounced dead on Tuesday at Medical Center Hospital.
