Food pantry

The Bridge and the West Texas Food Bank has scheduled a food pantry for anyone who needs food from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at The Bridge, 3901 E. Yukon Road.

Curbside Bistro, 3816 Andrews Highway, will donate 15% of all of Friday’s proceeds to KOSA-CBS7 Español Reporter/News Anchor Magaly Nieto.

Restaurant hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Nieto's son Alonso Hernandez died July 11 in a car accident near Jal, N.M.

Donations will also be accepted at the restaurant.


West Texas Blowout

The 2019 West Texas Blowout has been scheduled July 19-20 at the Cimarex Pavilion, 5514 Champion Drive, Midland.

Doors open at 3 p.m. Friday for Texas country music day. Doors open at 11 a.m. Saturday for Tejano/Norteno music day.

Hot Summer Nights

Downtown Odessa Inc. and Odessa Arts have scheduled Hot Summer Nights Concert Series featuring Lone Star Attitude at 8 p.m. Friday at the Noel Heritage Plaza, 321 W. Fifth St.

In the event of inclement weather, shows will be moved to Odessa High School.

The event includes local food trucks, as well as children's activities.

Bring the lawn chairs and blankets. Ice chests are allowed, but alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

The Odessa and Midland's Texas Roadhouse restaurants has scheduled the 12th annual Tip-A-Cop event benefiting Special Olympics Texas from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 25 at Texas Roadhouse, 4221 Grandview Ave., and at 4512 W. Loop 250 N., Midland.

Police officers will help serve guests and collect donations.
