The opening act for this year’s Rock the Desert Christian music festival is Dan Brown Jr.

Receiving the most online votes for Rock the Desert’s 2007 New Artist Contest, Dan Brown Jr. takes center stage to open this year’s music festival.

Based out of St. Louis, Brown and his band play Christian rock tunes at high volume with a strong godly message. His classic acoustic sets provide a more intimate feel for listeners.

Brown leads the band with his voice and guitar, James Cantrell plays drums, Jay Powers plays piano and Dustin Abell plays bass guitar.

Brown goes on at 4:15 p.m. today.
