Federal agents arrested an amateur rapper from Stanton Thursday on charges that he imported an underage girl from Wisconsin last year to continue a sexual relationship.

Charles Riley Martinez, who goes by “Ereez,” was in federal custody on Friday. The investigation started in July of 2012, when a 16-year-old boy in Wisconsin found a DVD that showed his father having sex with a 16-year-old girl he knew, according to a criminal complaint affidavit.

The boy took the DVD to the Green Bay Police Department, and the father was arrested, the complaint states. The feds say that man, unidentified in the Martinez documents, told a Wisconsin detective that the girl was communicating with Martinez, then 28, and that Martinez had visited her in Green Bay to see her and her mother.

The father said, in addition, according to the affidavit, that Martinez visited the girl a few weeks prior and got her mother’s permission to move back to Texas with him. The mother reportedly OK’d this because it would offer her a fresh start in a new school.

The Wisconsin detective, Rod Dubois, interviewed the mother, the complaint states. She reportedly confirmed granting her daughter permission to move with Martinez, but Dubois threatened to charge her with a crime if she didn’t bring her daughter back to Wisconsin. The girl came back, the affidavit states, and the detective found nude images sent to from her iPod Touch to Martinez’ email address.

In December, the detective then subpoenaed Martinez’ two Yahoo accounts, the affidavit states, and Yahoo complied, also providing Martinez’ user information.

The detective passed this information along to the Department of Homeland Security in Texas. Agents then executed a search warrant at Martinez’ home in Stanton, while Martinez was away, the affidavit states, but they also found him and interviewed him.

Feds say after they read Martinez his Miranda rights, he admitted meeting the girl on the Internet and began corresponding with her.

“For example, Martinez admitted that he had emailed pictures of himself nude with an erect penis to the 16-year-old juvenile female and that she had e-mailed him nude pictures of herself as well,” the affidavit states.

The affidavit also states that Martinez admitted flying to Wisconsin, having sex with the girl, then driving back up in a vehicle he rented at Midland International Airport to retrieve her.

If he is convicted of the two felony charges against him, Martinez faces a minimum mandatory prison term of 10 years. Assistant United States Attorney Austin Berry is prosecuting.
